INFORMATION – WETHERBY IN SUPPORT OF THE ELDERLY

Wetherby in Support of the Elderly (WiSE) is a registered charity organisation funded by Leeds City Council Adult Social Care. Since its launch twelve years ago, its aim has been consistent – to improve the quality of life for local elderly people. Managed by a small team of staff and dedicated Trustees, together with the support of 130 very generous volunteers, aged between 17 and 80+, WiSE deliver a wide range of community based services, activities and support within Wetherby and the surrounding villages. SPATE OF THEFTS FROM VEHICLES IN WETHERBY

West Yorkshire Police have informed us that there have been a number of thefts from vehicles in the Wetherby area. All have been from unsecured cars. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOCK YOUR CAR WHEREVER YOU LEAVE IT.  SOME OF  THE THEFTS HAVE BEEN FROM DRIVES DON’T MAKE IT EASY FOR THE CRIMINAL

PRESS RELEASE   Wetherby’s search for Townsperson of the Year   Wetherby Lion’s are looking for nominations for this year’s Wetherby Townsperson of the Year and they need your suggestions.   Townsperson of the Year has become one of Wetherby’s most popular traditions to recognise the amazing people who contribute without reward for the town of Wetherby.
