It seemed as if all of Wetherby and surrounding areas came to the Switch-On last Thursday. It was a wonderful evening – a brilliant start to the Christmas season. Celebrities Gary McAllister and Ryan Sidebottom did the honours and switched the lights on around the Market Square, which was followed by a fireworks display There were lots of Christmas market stalls, together with hot food stalls and kiddies rides – fun for all the family.Lots of live music too! A great big thank you to the volunteers who tirelessly put up the Christmas lights, trees, and set pieces. Without them, our Wetherby would not look as wonderful at Christmas. A thank you also to the businesses who have sponsored trees, plaques or raffle prizes
